QLA Meets QIT 2019

11-05-2019

Quantitative Linear Algebra Meets Quantum Information Theory -- The goal of this conference is to bring together mathematicians from areas such as operator algebras, quantum information theory, theoretical computer science, and free probability, and provide a stimulating environment to discuss problems and begin new projects. The intersection between operator algebras, quantitative linear algebra, and quantum information theory has grown ever larger and thus our hope is to address these overlapping interests and problems during the conference.

Speakers:

  • Konrad Aguilar, Title: Quantum Metrics on the Tensor Product of a Commutative C*-algebra and an AF C*-Algebra
  • Michael Brannan, TBA
  • Shawn Cui, Title: Kitaev's Finite Group Model as Error Correcting Code

  • Travis Russell, Title: Two-Outcome Synchronous Quantum Correlations and Connes' Embedding Problem
